Nursegraduate.com Features

Nursegraduate.com has been started to serve as a 'meeting place' for all Foreign Nurse Graduates. We at Nursegraduate.com aim to serve as a facilitator for this online community. We think the following features of Nursegraduate.com will help the Foreign Nurse Graduate community to connect better:

  • Nursegraduate.com provides relevant sections where Foreign Nurse Graduates can suggest useful websites, books and other resources that will be useful for the community.
  • Nursegraduate.com StudyPartner Section is a great way to find new study partners while preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam. Register today and meet others who are preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam.
  • The Nursegraduate.com forums provide a way for Foreign Nurse Graduates to converse with each other on specific topics. These forums have a threaded view which we think is very useful to have meaningful conversations with eachother. Most websites on the internet have forums which have a non-threaded view which are more useful for individual postings rather than continuing conversations.
  • The Recruiters list serves as a living document that is updated from time to time by the Foreign Nurse Graduate community with all the Recruiters that have a history of offering jobs to Foreign Nurse Graduates.
  • Ask Madam Anaski Forum is a forum moderated by Madam Anaski a leading educator of Nurse Graduates in the Philippines. Use this forum to communicate with Madam Anaski about CGFNS and NCLEX.

    The Process

In the USA nurses are licensed by each state. Due to this one has to decide which state one is interested in and then meet the requirements put forth by that state's professional licensing organisation inorder to obtain a license to practice in that state. In general the following is the process that a FNG needs to pursue to start a career in the USA:
    1. Credentials Verification
    2. Pass the NCLEX-RN Exam
    3. Obtain License from State Board of Nursing
    4. Pass an English language proficiency exam
    5. Obtain Visa Screen Certificate from CGFNS
    6. Apply for a US Visa/Green Card

The "Process" page has more details about each of these steps. Click Here to go to the "Process" page.
